Cookie Policy

Version 1.3Effective: 2026-07-13

The cookies we use, why, and how your consent choices are stored.

1. Essential cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect the service, and remember essential preferences (such as discreet mode). These are always on because the service can't work without them.

2. Analytics cookies (public pages only)

On our public marketing pages we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site, which sets Google Analytics cookies. We do not use these cookies anywhere inside the app — on any page that shows your private content — and we do not use advertising or cross-site ad-targeting cookies at all.

3. In-app usage analytics (first-party, anonymous)

Inside the app we measure aggregate feature usage — which features are used and whether people come back — to improve the product. This is first-party and anonymous: it uses a random device identifier stored on your device (not a cookie) that is never linked to your account, and it never records your journal, media, activity content, or anything that identifies you. This data stays with us; it is never sent to Google or any third party.

4. Your choices

In the UK and EU/EEA, analytics cookies stay off until you accept them in our cookie banner, and your choice is recorded so we don't ask again; you can change it later by clearing your cookies. Elsewhere, analytics cookies may be set on our public pages by default. Essential cookies are always used because the service can't work without them.
