The Wraparound
Also known as carry positionliftedkoalaface-to-face lift
The Wraparound is a standing position where one partner lifts and holds the other, who wraps their legs around the lifting partner's waist — intense, full-contact, and strength-dependent.
The gist
As athletic as it is intimate: one partner is lifted and held close while wrapping their legs around for support, often braced against a wall to share the load. It's a short-burst, high-energy position that puts faces together and demands real core and leg strength from the lifting partner.
Step by step
The lifting partner stands with a stable, braced stance, ideally near a wall.
The other wraps their arms around the neck and legs around the waist.
Use the wall to share the weight and find a controlled rhythm.
Return to standing or a seat before muscles tire.
Tips
- Bracing against a wall dramatically reduces the strength needed — use one.
- Keep it short and agree on a quick 'set me down' signal in advance.

Standing
Standing positions have one or both partners upright — often against a wall or supportive surface — for a spontaneous, energetic change of scenery.
Seated
Seated positions have one partner sitting — on a chair, edge of the bed, or the floor — with the other on their lap, wrapping the pair into close, face-to-face contact.
